Borrel visited Kiev for the fifth time, but also said it was his last visit as head of the EU diplomatic service

BRUSSELS, 9 November. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell arrived in Kiev on Saturday for an official visit, a senior European official said on his X social network account.

Borrel noted that this was his fifth visit to Kiev and his last as head of the EU's diplomatic service. He stressed that support for Ukraine would remain at the top of the EU's agenda.

Borrel said earlier this week during an informal meeting of EU leaders in Budapest that he planned to discuss with the Ukrainian authorities the provision of aid to Kiev during his visit.
