A dialogue titled "Global Opportunities of China's Deepening Reform in the New Era" was held in Cairo, co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG), the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Chinese Embassy in Egypt. The event was held on the occasion of the China-Egypt Partnership Year 2024 and focused on the global opportunities arising from China's deepening reforms.
Shen Haixiong, President of CMG, highlighted more than 300 reform measures to be completed by 2029 and emphasized China's role in global stability and development. Sherif Fathi, Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, celebrated the 10-year strategic partnership between China and Egypt, especially in the fields of tourism and cultural heritage. Both sides expressed their desire to deepen cooperation in cultural exchanges.
Hussein Zein, Chairman of Egypt's National Media Authority, stressed the role of the media in strengthening bilateral relations. In addition, CMG and the Cairo International Film Festival signed a cooperation agreement to promote mutual exchanges in the film industry.
The event also saw the launch of the "Journey of Civilizations" exhibition and the screening of an Arab documentary on China's modernization, which aims to strengthen cultural ties and mutual understanding between the two nations.
