On April 10, the UN Chinese Language Day 2025 was officially launched together with the fifth China Media Group (CMG) Overseas Film Festival. The event was held in Geneva and was organized by CMG in cooperation with the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva, other international organizations in Switzerland and the UN Office at Geneva itself.
This year's theme is "China Travel", which invites filmmakers from around the world to capture travel experiences in China with their cameras. The aim is to showcase the local customs, cultural richness and modern development of the country, offering the world a deeper insight into contemporary China.
The event serves as a bridge for cultural exchange, understanding and sharing stories about China in a global context.
