The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence conducts local anti-terrorist actions in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Ministry specified that its aim was to ensure the provisions of the Tripartite Declaration and the disarmament and withdrawal of the Armenian army from the territory.
Yerevan, for its part, said that Baku is seeking to "complete the policy of ethnic cleansing" and that Armenian armed forces are not present in Nagorno-Karabakh. Russia has called on both sides to stop the bloodshed and return to a political and diplomatic solution.
