A major dialogue meeting in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday brought together government officials, business leaders and academics from China and the United Arab Emirates to highlight the deepening relations between the two countries.
In a video message, he said Shen Haixiong, director of China Media Group, that China's newly approved 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) represents a „blueprint for high-quality development“ as well as a new „list of opportunities“ for the world. Referring to the CGTN global survey, he added that „more than 80 % respondents appreciated China's high-quality economic development as an engine of global economic growth“.
Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zeng Jixin He stressed that relations between the two countries are at an all-time high, as evidenced by strong trade growth and expanding cooperation. Consul General in Dubai Ou Boqian pointed to the visible manifestations of these links.
„More and more Chinese new energy vehicles and robots are appearing on the streets of the UAE,“ she said, adding that more than 300,000 Chinese citizens now live and work in the country.
Mohammad Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, praised China's progress in AI and robotics and said its development experience can be a valuable inspiration. He also expressed interest in deeper cooperation in the digital economy, green energy and multilateral trade.
Panelists from the banking and energy sectors agreed that the cooperation between China and the UAE - encompassing traditional energy, advanced manufacturing and digital sectors - represents a regional model. They also stressed the importance of leveraging economic „certainty“ to navigate global uncertainty.
The event attracted the attention of major regional media, including The Federal Journal and Al-Watan.
