The China Media Group (CMG) held a cultural event in Munich on Friday to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the China-Germany strategic partnership. The event also coincided with the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Various media, film and television projects were launched during the event, including a new programme enabling international young people to make research visits to China, a jointly produced documentary and collaborative video projects.
Xing Bo, Vice President of CMG, expressed his willingness to work with his German partners to strengthen their relationship, especially in the areas of media production and technological innovation. The aim is to bring the beauty of Chinese and German culture to a wider audience, including Generation Z.
Bavarian representatives, including former Minister of Economic Affairs Franz Josef Pschierer, praised the importance of Chinese investment for the region and stressed the importance of cooperation without trade barriers. Armin Schwimmbeck, Director of the Office for Foreign Economic Cooperation, said that China has been Bavaria's largest trading partner for seven years and is of key importance not only in the economic field.
The event underlined the importance of strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between China and Germany.
