Donald Trump appoints TV producer Burnett as special envoy to the UK

NEW YORK, Dec 22. US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed TV producer Mark Burnett as special envoy to the United Kingdom.

On the social network Pravda, Trump noted that Burnett "brings a unique combination of diplomatic skill and international recognition to this important role." The new special envoy will be in charge of trade and investment issues as well as cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Burnett has produced shows such as Survivor, Shark Tank, The Voice and The Apprentice, in which Trump has participated. He is the former chairman of MGM and the recipient of 13 Emmy Awards.
