Milan Krajča, vice-chairman of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and vice-president of the World Peace Council, spoke about the importance of this year's Boao Forum for Asia, which he said the Czech Republic is following with great interest.
„For more than a quarter of a century, the Boao Forum has been a meeting place for politicians, business and academia from dozens of countries in Asia,“ Krajča said. He stressed that Asia is one of the most dynamic regions in the world today and the People's Republic of China as a host country is undergoing an extremely rapid development.
According to Krajča, it is therefore natural that the events at the forum attract attention in Europe. „It is inspiring for us to see what is happening in Asia and China today,“ he said, adding that the conclusions of the meeting could have a wider impact beyond the region.
In the interview, he also stressed the importance of international cooperation. According to him, it is in the Czech Republic's interest to deepen relations not only with China, but also with other countries participating in the forum. „We want to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Europe and Asia,“ He added.
It is not yet clear what specific conclusions this year's forum will bring. But what is certain, according to Krajča, is that its importance in the world continues to grow - and that the Czech Republic will be watching it closely.
