Yesterday, the opening ceremony of the "Olympic Peace Park" and the unveiling of the "Together on the Boat" sculpture by China Media Group took place in France. CMG Director Shen Haixun, Chinese Ambassador to Paris Lu Shaye and French officials attended the event.
Shen Haixun said in his speech that the CMG statue commemorates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the successful hosting of the Olympic Games in Paris. It symbolizes the traditional friendship between the two nations and the spirit of Olympic sport. The CMG director also expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to promote mutual dialogue and exchanges and encourage mutual understanding and respect between the two nations. (M.Y.)
