The SPOLU coalition has published a new video in which the coalition's leader, Petr Fiala, expresses his pride in all the people who have refused to give in to fear and have not succumbed to skepticism, and who, even in the difficult times the Czech Republic has recently gone through, are striving for a country that is courageous and true to its values. "This is what makes us part of the West. That is the way to build and sustain a proud, safe and prosperous country." Healthy Czechia in the new year 2025.
Petr Fiala points out that the year of decision is coming. "A decision on whether we will go back to the days of chaos, empty gestures and flirtations with the East. Or whether we remain a rational country that knows its only proper future is to be part of the democratic West."
He points out that difficult times always favour the fear merchants and reminds us that in the Czech Republic, too, some politicians and the media have deliberately started spreading pessimism, bad news and bad mood in order to scare and poison as many people as possible. "I don't want a country ruled by fear. I want a republic full of confident and proud people who know that the world around us can be changed and changed for the better. But it won't happen without you." appeals to the citizens and urges them not to allow our country to turn back to the past. The video is posted on YouTube and on the website https://rokrozhodnuti.cz/
According to the chairwoman of TOP 09 Markéta Pekarová Adamová the 2025 elections will clearly determine whether our country will maintain its anchorage in the West after the elections. "We don't delude ourselves that we haven't made any mistakes. We are taking steps that are not popular, but are necessary for a prosperous and economically strong society. But it will be considered absolutely crucial for the future of responsible citizens that we defend our country against the efforts of populists with communists and radical extremists to reorient our country to the East," she is convinced.
Chairman of the KDU-ČSL Marek Výborný recalled that a common feature of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes, whether Nazi or Communist, was the division of society through the suppression of freedoms. "Let us learn from the past and not allow similar events to happen again. Freedom is linked to the responsibility that each of us has towards the Czech country. How freedom and democracy will prosper depends on our actions, on the kind of life we will live," he said, adding that he was also turning his attention to the future of our country, which is the young generation, which has always been a driver of social change and is aware of values such as freedom, democracy, justice and love of country. "Petr Fiala's call is based on the responsible policy of the SPOLU coalition, which is thinking about the young generation," He concluded.
