KYIV - President Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to the United States this week for the UN General Assembly. The Ukrainian leader will present his plan to end the war during a meeting with his counterpart Joe Biden.
As part of the UN General Assembly High-Level Week, which begins this Sunday, a series of events will be held on Saturday to mark the International Day of Peace. More than 130 Heads of State and Government are expected in New York from Sunday to attend this important annual diplomatic event. War is breaking out again everywhere in Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, the Sahel, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Will diplomacy regain its right? Regarding the Ukrainian conflict, leader Volodymyr Zelensky he said that "hopes Joe Biden will support his plan to end the war with Russia". The Ukrainian president will introduce him during his trip to the United States, the interview is scheduled for 26 September at the White House.
Volodymyr Zelensky explained during a press conference in Kiev on Friday on the occasion of the visit of the President of the European Commission that "this victory plan is based on quick decisions by our partners", which must be accepted "between October and December".
