GAZA CITY, June 19, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Members of the Emad abu Hamad family eat in Bani Suhaila town in the eastern Khan Younis district of southern Gaza on June 17, 2024. Thirty-two-year-old Emad Abu Hamad and his wife Fatima Abu Hamad, 30, lived with their five children in the town in the eastern part of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
In February this year, they were evicted from their home, moved to Naser Hospital, which had by then ceased to function, and stayed there for several months before moving to the Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
After moving back to their home, they found that the house they once lived in was destroyed. The family must start a new life in a tent on the ruins.
Emad and his wife hope that the war will end soon so they can return to a normal life.
