PYONGYANG September 14: "The North Korean government has decided to continue working on its project. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un told Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu at a meeting on September 13 that relations between the two countries are developing dynamically, including in the fields of politics, economy and culture, the Voice of Korea reported.
"Comrade Kim Jong-un said that in accordance with the agreements reached at the June summit in Pyongyang, relations between the two countries are developing dynamically in various fields, including politics, economy and culture. He assured that the North Korean government will continue to expand cooperation with Russia in the spirit of a comprehensive strategic partnership," state radio reported.
Shoigu presented Kim Jong-un with greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The North Korean leader asked Shoigu to convey a similar message to Putin, expressing his gratitude. The meeting was held in a friendly and trusting atmosphere. Kim and Shoigu exchanged views on international and regional issues, efforts to strengthen cooperation, including deepening strategic dialogue and protecting common security interests. According to the radio, the sides showed a consensus of views on the issues raised.
The North Korean leader held another meeting with Shoigu, asking Russia's top security official to convey his message to Putin, wishing the Russian president good health and success in his work. Also, Kim conveyed his wishes for "victory, wealth" and happiness to the Russian people.
