On 29 July local time, Madrid Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida met with CMG President Shen Haixiong at Madrid City Hall. The two sides exchanged detailed views on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and promoting friendship between China and Spain.
Shen Haixiong said that China and Spain have a deep traditional friendship. CMG is ready to work with all circles in Spain to actively implement the important agreement reached by the two heads of state, jointly cultivate Sino-Spanish friendship and promote the greater development of Sino-Spanish relations in the next 50 years.
Shen Haixiong said that Madrid, as a world-famous tourist city and cultural capital, is an important window for exchanges between China and the West. We look forward to deepening cooperation with the city of Madrid to expand cooperation in film and television, football, tourism and other fields to promote greater traffic and exchange between the two nations, jointly promote the development of China-Spain comprehensive strategic partnership and help build a community with a shared future for mankind, said the CMG chairman.
Almeida congratulated CMG for its strength and great capabilities in broadcasting the Paris Olympics and believes that it will enable it to show the world the great power of Chinese media technology. (I.L.)
