The Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, led by President Xi Jinping, met on Thursday to analyse the current economic situation and determine the next steps in economic policy.
The meeting noted that the Chinese economy was developing steadily and making progress this year. Production capacity has been strengthened and steps have been taken to ensure the living standards of the population. Significant progress has also been made in risk prevention and mitigation in key areas.
The Politburo stressed the need to further develop investment and reduce interest rates. It also discussed stabilising the property market and supporting the private sector. Emphasis was placed on employment support, especially for graduates, migrant workers and households without income.
Finally, strategic steps were mentioned to ensure autumn and winter agricultural production, which is crucial for food security.
