NEW YORK, Sept 12 - US billionaire and famous businessman Elon Musk has warned of the threat of World War III if the US takes a positive decision on the use of Western weapons by the Kiev regime to strike deep into the Russian interior.
"This is definitely a step in that direction," wrote on the social network X, commenting on a user's post on the matter.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Washington's intention to allow Kiev to use its long-range missiles to strike deep into the Russian interior is another step towards escalating the conflict.
Earlier, the Times reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and top British diplomat David Lammy, who have arrived in Kiev, plan to discuss the possible use of Western long-range missiles by Ukraine to strike Russian territory. Bloomberg reported that Washington plans to make a decision on the matter. US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director William Burns also said the US might reconsider its position on the issue.
