Israel's Supreme Court has temporarily suspended the government's decision to dismiss Shin Bet chief Ronen Barr in order to hear an appeal against the dismissal of the head of the Internal Security Agency.
"An interlocutory injunction is hereby ordered suspending the effectiveness of the decision under appeal until the court issues another decision," the judges' decision states.
The court will hear until April 8 five appeals filed against the decision on Barr's appeal that night announced the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "The cabinet unanimously approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal to terminate the term of ISA Director Ronen Bar. Ronen Bar will end his term on April 10, 2025, or when a permanent ISA director is appointed - whichever comes first."
