GAZA, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The number of Palestinian casualties due to Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 21,320 and 55,603 people have been injured, the Gaza Health Ministry said Thursday.
Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Kedra said in a statement that at least 210 people have been killed in Gaza in the past 24 hours.
He noted that the Israeli army deliberately attacked 104 ambulances and 142 medical facilities in the Strip, and called on international institutions to intervene to protect medical facilities and restore the operations of the affected hospitals.
Meanwhile, the Hamas media office in Gaza announced that two journalists were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Thursday, bringing the total number of journalists killed since 7 October to 105.
