On the morning of September 5, the China-Africa Women's Education Conference was held at the Diaoyutai (Tiaoyutai) State Hotel in Beijing on the theme China and Africa Acting Together to Empower Women in Education. Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping and UNESCO Special Envoy for the Promotion of Girls' and Women's Education, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Wives and representatives of 26 African leaders who came to China to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation 2024 also attended the conference.
In her speech, Peng Liyuan said that China and Africa are a community with a common future. Through their hard work, wisdom and dedication, Chinese and African women have written a magnificent chapter of unity, cooperation and moving forward hand in hand. Peng Liyuan introduced the fruitful achievements of China's Spring Buddhas Project in the past thirty years and highly praised the realization of the life value of African women through education in recent years.
