MOSCOW, Jan 24 - Moscow is ready for nuclear disarmament talks with Washington provided the nuclear arsenals of the United Kingdom and France, US allies, are taken into account, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing.
Asked by TASS news agency to comment on US President Donald Trump's remark about Washington's desire to negotiate on these issues, Peskov said: "Washington wishes to negotiate. We certainly have an interest in starting the negotiating process as soon as possible in the interests of the people of our countries and the world."
"In the current situation, all nuclear capacities must be taken into account. In particular, it is not possible to have a conversation without taking into account the nuclear capacities of France and the United Kingdom," he remarked, adding: "The current reality demands it."
