China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to deepen the alignment of their development strategies, expand exchanges in the field of governance and advance all-round mutually beneficial cooperation to promote the realization of building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday during talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Yaparov, who is in Beijing on a state visit.
On this occasion, Xi said that the two countries are good neighbours, friends and partners. In recent years, Sino-Kyrgyz relations have achieved leapfrog development, leading to a new level of comprehensive strategic partnership in a new era.
Xi praised the political mutual trust and bilateral cooperation in various fields and noted that the social and public base for building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future is getting stronger.
President Xi called on the two countries to focus on quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen their mutually beneficial cooperation.
China will continue to expand economic and trade cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, import more quality goods from Kyrgyzstan and encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest and start businesses in Kyrgyzstan. He also expressed his hope that the Kyrgyz side will effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese investors.
Xi also called for improving the overall level of connectivity, building a China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway with high standards and quality, promoting the upgrading of existing ports and opening more passenger and cargo flights to provide greater convenience for the exchange of people and the flow of goods between the two countries.
Other areas of cooperation should be new high quality productive forces such as cross-border e-commerce, big data and artificial intelligence to create new growth points.
President Xi said the two sides should well run institutions such as the China Cultural Center, Luban Workshop and Confucius Institute, and strengthen local exchanges to cultivate more forces committed to China-Kyrgyzstan friendship.
For his part, Japarov said that bilateral relations have reached a new level in recent years, adding that China is a reliable friend and partner for Kyrgyzstan.
