China has been and will remain an ideal, safe and promising destination for foreign investors, President Xi Jinping said at a meeting with international business representatives in Beijing. This was reported by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Xi stressed that China continues to open up to the world at a high level and its "doors will only open more." According to him, "to believe in China is to believe in a better tomorrow" and "to invest in China is to invest in the future".
He described foreign companies as important partners in China's modernisation, reform, innovation and integration into the globalised economy. He recalled that these companies generally prosper in China, benefit from mutual cooperation and build friendship with the Chinese people.
Xi also called on multinational companies to contribute to the stability of global supply chains and uphold an open and cooperative international trade order.
The meeting was attended by more than 40 top representatives of foreign companies and business councils.
