He said this in a congratulatory letter sent to the World Conference on Traditional Medicine 2024, which opened in Beijing on Tuesday. The theme of this year's conference is "Diversity, Heritage, Innovation: Traditional Medicine for All."
Si said efforts are needed from all parties to strengthen medical and health cooperation, jointly address global health challenges and promote the building of a global health community for all.
China is willing to work with the international community to promote mutual learning in the field of traditional medicines, integrate them more deeply into the global health system, and promote the innovative transformation and development of the culture of traditional medicines, Xi added.
Regarding Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Xi said that China has always attached equal importance to modern medicine and TCM, and has followed the characteristic path of developing traditional medicine.
