"The new reality is that Donald Trump has changed the political mindset of the West," Prime Minister Orbán said.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán: "In Hungary we have been doing something in the liberal headwind for 15 years, stopping migration, defending traditional values, respecting religious communities ... low taxes, everything that is unorthodox in the minds of liberals."

"The new reality is that Donald Trump has changed the political mindset of the West," Prime Minister Orbán told US media personality Tucker Carlson at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

The prime minister said that the Western liberal elite had used US taxpayers' money to spread their ideology around the world. "In Hungary, it has funded more than 60 NGOs, politicians and media in a conspiracy against our sovereignty and independence," He added.

According to PM Orbán, it is crucial that Donald Trump has changed the political mindset of the West on issues such as migration and the Green Deal. "Regarding the latter, everybody now says that economic competitiveness is the priority and green issues come second," he added.

Traditional families are also now seen as "better", "and when it comes to crazy gender propaganda, it is now openly said that it is not right", he added.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, those who brokered peace were perceived as "bad", "but now it's the other way around", Prime Minister Orbán said.
