US President Joe Biden is one of the most experienced politicians in the world in terms of time in power. Russian President Vladimir Putin made the announcement on October 17.
"I believe President Biden is one of the most experienced politicians in the world in terms of time spent in the highest levels of power. He has been in politics for a long time, he knows what tasks he should set himself and how to achieve them," he told Rossiya 24 television station.
Putin noted that despite Biden's experience, he should remember the saying "live and learn."
"This is not just about President Biden, but about the American political elites as a whole. We must learn to respect others, and then there will be no need to suppress anyone. And the desire to constantly suppress someone for no good reason leads to problems," he warned.
The day before, Biden said in an interview with CBS News that he was going to "crack down on Russia" if he is re-elected for a second presidential term. In return, he said, he can unite Europe.
Earlier, on March 26, Biden used undiplomatic remarks when he said Putin supposedly "can't stay in power." In response, the Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, pointed out that personal insults directed at the Russian president narrow the opportunity for improved relations between Moscow and Washington.
