On July 26, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a symposium with non-partisan representatives in Beijing to hear the views and suggestions of various democratic parties, leaders of the National Federation of Industry and Commerce and non-partisan representatives on the current economic situation and prospects for economic development in the second half of the year.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, chaired the symposium and stressed the importance of the economy in the second half of the year.
The symposium was attended by Li Qiang, Wang Huning, Cai Qi and Ding Xuesiang, members of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China. Chinese Premier Li Qiang gave a report on the economic work in the first half of the year and introduced the corresponding reflections on the economic work in the second half of the year.
