Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived on Tuesday for the 29th regular meeting of Chinese and Russian prime ministers and an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The regular meeting of Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers, which has been held annually since 1996, is an important mechanism for implementing the consensus reached by the Heads of State of the two countries and for promoting bilateral cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
In a statement released after his arrival, Premier Li said that under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, China and Russia have created a model for a new type of international relations and relations between neighboring major countries.
