"The TOP 09 Executive Committee has selected as candidates for the European Parliament personalities who have done excellent work at the European level, in the Czech Parliament or at the municipal level. They are erudite, linguistically equipped and ready to decide on the challenges of the 21st century. The leader of the candidate list is Luděk Niedermayer, who was elected earlier, and will be backed up by Ondřej Kolář, a current MEP and Vice-Chair of the European Affairs Committee." said Markéta Pekarová Adamová, the chair of TOP 09 and the lower house.
"As the leader of the TOP 09 candidate for the European elections, I will be able to rely on the experienced team of people whose nominations were approved by the Executive Committee today. TOP 09 has put together a candidate with a high competence in European issues, whose priority is the pro-Western direction of our country and the economic future of the Czech Republic. Together, we want to work for the good functioning of the EU for the benefit of our and European citizens. I believe that the Together candidate will be a good offer for voters and will have the ambition to fight for victory," said Luděk Niedermayer, MEP and leader of TOP 09 in the European elections.
