MOSCOW, 8 September. /TASS/. The last day of voting in Russia's three-day general election begins on Sunday at various levels in the country's regions, including Moscow, St. Petersburg and eight electoral entities adjacent to the border. Ella Pamfilova, chairwoman of Russia's Central Election Commission (CEC), said earlier that voting has been going on as normal since September 7.
On the first day of the elections, 6 September, polling stations opened in 49 Russian regions at various levels, where it was decided to hold three-day elections. The next morning, 13 more electoral entities joined them. On Sunday, voting will begin in another 21 electoral entities.
Residents of Russia's 25 regions will have the opportunity to cast their vote in an online ballot, in six of them for the first time.
From September 5 to the beginning of September 7, approximately 100,000 potentially dangerous actions were blocked against the CCC portal, with 232 very critical cases, Pamfilova said.
