The Ministry of Health, health insurers and ambulatory specialists have today reached an agreement on the way forward for 2025. A technical agreement will be signed next week between the Ministry of Health, health insurers representing 88 % insureds and the Association of Ambulatory Specialists. This formalises the agreement reached today. In response, representatives of outpatient specialists have promised to call off their planned protest.
"I thank Dr Jojkov and the representatives of the health insurance companies for their willingness to compromise, which we have reached today. This week's negotiations have clearly shown that where there is a will, there is a way," said the Minister of Health Vlastimil Válek.
"I appreciate that the Ministry of Health and representatives of health insurance companies, especially the General Health Insurance Company, were willing to negotiate and were willing to compromise, which is acceptable to outpatient specialists. We are therefore cancelling the planned protest," said the chairman of the Association of Outpatient Specialists Zorjan Jojko.
The reimbursement ordinance will continue to remain financially balanced. Agreed funds will be drawn from health insurance funds that are not subject to distribution under the reimbursement decree.
