The Ministry of Health has agreed with representatives of the Association of General Practitioners and the Association of General Practitioners for Children and Adolescents on reimbursement for 2025. The planned protest is thus cancelled thanks to the agreement.
"I am glad that after constructive negotiations we have reached an agreement and managed to avert the doctors' industrial action. The additional funding comes from a reserve earmarked for centre-based treatment. We are thus continuing to meet the government's resolution on the balanced reimbursement decree," said the Minister of Health Vlastimil Válek.
"The agreement we have reached today is acceptable to both parties and will ensure that changes in primary care continue. This move also cancels the planned industrial action. Increasing the age indices for pediatric and geriatric patients takes into account the time it takes to care for them, while incentivizing physicians to accept such patients into their care," said the chairman of the Association of General Practitioners Petr Šonka.
"The reimbursement agreement for 2025 is an important step towards stabilising the situation in the field of children's primary care. We are pleased that we have found common ground with the Ministry and that we can ensure continued care for our youngest patients." said the chairwoman of the Association of General Practitioners for Children and Adolescents Ilona Hülleová.
The Minister of Health will meet with outpatient specialists tomorrow in the presence of health insurance companies.
