The Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (CPC Central Committee) held a meeting on May 27 to discuss the Several Policies and Measures to Promote the Accelerated Rise of Central Regions in the New Era and the Provisions on the Responsibility for Preventing and Handling Financial Risks (Trial Implementation). The meeting was chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
It was pointed out at the meeting that supporting the rise of the central areas is an important strategic decision made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with President Xi Jinping at its core. It is necessary to deeply understand the strategic intentions of the CPC Central Committee, always adhering to the strategic position of the central areas as an important grain production base, energy raw material base, production and industrial base of modern equipment and advanced technology, and comprehensive transportation hub in China. In addition, efforts should be made to promote various key tasks in order to achieve new major breakthroughs in the rise of the central areas.
