On Thursday, 12 October 2023, at 13:00, President of the Republic Petr Pavel took part in a ceremonial roll call at the third courtyard of Prague Castle on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the handover of the Castle Guard's combat battalion.
The ceremony marked the 102nd anniversary of the presentation of the first battle flag by President T. G. Masaryk. The roll call, which was an approximate reconstruction of the act from 1921, included units of the Castle Guard, the Castle Settin' Military History Club and other military-historical associations in period uniforms. The main ceremony was followed by a performance by the motorcycle unit of the Castle Guard and an exhibition performance by the Castle Guard unit. Then the President of the Republic opened the new exhibition of the Castle Guard Museum in the Mihulka Tower.
