BRUSSELS, 11 March. /TASS/. NATO currently sees no military threat from Russia against the bloc's member states, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told a news conference in Brussels. However, he said NATO should be alert to threats from Russia Prepared by and remain vigilant.
"We don't see any immediate military threat (from Russia) against any NATO ally," Stoltenberg said in response to a relevant question from reporters.
Stoltenberg stressed, however, that NATO must be prepared for threats from Russia and remain vigilant. In his view, Moscow is not currently threatening the alliance given that it is dealing with Ukraine.
The Swedish flag was officially hoisted at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Monday after Sweden joined the alliance. Sweden became the 32nd member of NATO.
