WASHINGTON, November 6. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is leading in six of the seven crucial states where the results are expected to decide the election, according to estimates by major US media outlets including Fox News, The New York Times, The Washington Post and Axios.
According to Fox News, Donald Trump leads with 51.11 % votes in Georgia (16 electoral votes), where 90 % ballots have been processed, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has 48.19 %. In North Carolina (16 electoral votes), after 85.7 % ballots processed, Trump has 50.77 % votes and Harris has 48.12 %. In Pennsylvania (19 electoral votes), Trump has 50.72 % votes and Harris has 48.34 %, with 65.97 % ballots processed.
In Michigan (15 electoral votes), Donald Trump leads with 51.1 % votes, while Kamala Harris has 47.16 % votes. In Wisconsin (10 electoral votes) with 59.17 % ballots processed, Trump has 50.29 % votes while Harris has 48.24 %. In Arizona (11 electoral votes), Trump leads with 49.66 % votes, while Harris has 49.53 %. In Nevada, ballot processing data is not yet available.
The US is currently counting the results of the general election. These were held on 5 November, and voters also chose a third of the Senate, the entire House of Representatives and governors of 11 states and two territories.
The Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris are competing for the presidency. Trump, who was the 45th president of the United States from 2017-2021, is seeking to return to the White House after losing to Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Harris has served as vice president since January 2021.
