NEW YORK, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Former U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that he will appeal his conviction on all counts in the hush money trial in New York.
Speaking at a press conference at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan the day after he was convicted in the trial, Trump said: "We will appeal this fraud".
A jury in New York on Thursday found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of an indictment charging him with falsifying business records in an effort to cover up a $130,000 hush payment in 2016 to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Trump continued his attacks on the judge, stressing that the trial was "rigged."
"As far as the trial itself, it was very unfair," Trump said.
Trump said his team will appeal on several issues, including claims that the court blocked a key witness for his side.
Both Trump supporters and Trump critics showed up outside Trump Tower on Friday.
A sentencing hearing in the classified money case has been set for July 11, shortly before the Republican National Convention.
The first debate between Trump and US President Joe Biden is expected to take place on 27 June in Atlanta, Georgia.
