WASHINGTON, July 25. U.S. President Joe Biden said he will maintain a coalition of countries in support of Ukraine and against Russia.
Speaking from the Oval Office of the White House on Wednesday night in a televised address to fellow Americans about his decision to withdraw from the U.S. presidential race, Biden said the U.S. will continue to "mobilize a coalition of proud nations", to prevent a Russian victory in the conflict. "We will keep NATO stronger, more powerful and more united than at any time in our history," said the president.
The US presidential election will take place on 5 November. The Democratic Party was supposed to be represented by Joe Biden, but after his unsuccessful performance in the June debate with Trump, there were growing calls among Democrats for the incumbent head of state to give up the fight. On July 21, he decided to withdraw from the fight and endorse Harris for the nation's top job.
