On July 2, on the occasion of his state visit to Kazakhstan in Astana, Chinese President Xi Jinping published a signed article in Kazakh media entitled "We are working together to continue writing a new chapter in Sino-Kazakh relations."
At the invitation of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan and attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. This is President Xi Jinping's fifth visit to this charming country since he took office as President of the People's Republic of China. Kazakhstan's beautiful and unique culture, vast and spectacular scenery and simple and hospitable people have left a deep impression on President Xi Jinping. He looks forward to personally familiarising himself with the new developments and changes in Kazakhstan during this visit. He is also looking forward to discussing with President Tokayev the plans for cooperation between the two countries and that through this visit, they will jointly draw up a new roadmap for the development of China-Kazakhstan relations.
