An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, will be published on Monday, focusing on deeply strengthening the Party's internal reform.

This article, also authored by the Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, will appear in the 24th issue of this year's Qiushiwhich is the flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee of China.

The article states that the CCP of China pursues lofty ideals and faces challenging tasks. Only through internal reform and improving its leadership and administrative capabilities can the party remain a strong core that moves socialism with Chinese characteristics forward.

Xi Jinping stresses that with the changing situation and challenges facing the Party, it is inevitable that various conflicts and problems will arise. The article highlights the need to eliminate negative influences through internal reform in order for the Party to maintain its vitality and momentum.

According to Xi Jinping, reform is only possible if the Party does not prioritise its own interests, but always represents the fundamental interests of the Chinese people. By quickly identifying and resolving its own problems, the Party can effectively confront any interest groups, power circles or privileged layers that might damage its unity or undermine its members.

Strong leadership and consistent governance

According to Xi Jinping, the basis for deeply pushing forward the Party's internal reform is to maintain a centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee.

It is also necessary to improve the system for implementing full and consistent internal party management, build strong party organisations and strengthen the ranks of party officials.

The article also calls for improving party morale, enforcing discipline and fighting corruption. A key part of internal reform, according to Xi Jinping, is the integration of party supervision with public scrutiny.
