It also highlighted the growing influx of foreign investment - in January 2025 alone, investment from the UK, South Korea and the Netherlands grew by 324 %, 104 % and 76 % year-on-year respectively.
Representatives of the technology and investment sectors praised China's innovative achievements, such as the development of electric cars and artificial intelligence, and highlighted the complementary strengths of the Chinese and US economies - China as a manufacturing leader, the US as a technology superpower. They see great potential for cooperation in areas such as the transition to clean energy, AI and electromobility.
The positive experience with China's economic development was shared by former Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, who praised the innovative spirit of today's China. He said the U.S. and China should work together to address global challenges, promote the advancement of technology, and contribute to improving the quality of life around the world.
