Chinese animated film No Zha 2 surpassed the worldwide sales of the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens and became the fifth highest grossing film of all time with more than 15.02 billion yuan (approximately $2.07 billion).
Forty-six days after its premiere in China, the film continues to break records and dominate the charts. No Zha 2 is now not only the highest-grossing film in Chinese history (surpassing Wolf Warrior 2 i The Battle of Changjin), but also the highest-grossing animated film in the world - surpassing even In Title 2which reached $1.7 billion.
The film is also a success abroad - it is being screened in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and since 14 March also in the UK, where its European tour has started. It will also enter cinemas in France and Germany during March, which may further boost its sales.
