Speaker of the Chinese Parliament thanks journalists for their coverage of the SCSL meeting

Chairman of the Standing Committee of the All-China People's Congress (APC) Zhao Leji met with reporters and media personnel on Wednesday to brief them on the third session of the 14th APC. He expressed his thanks to them and appreciated their contribution to spreading the word about the key legislative meeting.

Zhao, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, stressed the important role of state institutions and the mainstream media in ensuring quality news coverage. He also stressed the importance of making effective use of coverage of the People's Congresses to better enable China to tell its story to the world.
