RT television reported on August 19 that the US private military company "Frontline Observers" posted a photo on social media showing three soldiers standing in front of a high-mobility, multi-use vehicle. The photo shows the figure of the company's founder in the centre and the text on social media identifies the location as the Kursk region.
Russia's RIA Novosti news agency also reported that a US private military company posted photos on social media showing its soldiers involved in the Ukrainian army's attack on the Kursk region.
Recently, Ukraine has been stepping up its attacks in Russia's Kursk region. On 15 August, U.S. Defense Department spokesperson Sabrina Singh said that the U.S. reserves the right to provide Ukraine with different types of weapons during an attack on the Kursk region.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview on August 19 that "if the US was not behind it, the Ukrainians would not have dared to attack the Kursk region, this is clear to everyone".
