Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday stressed the need for the successful completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for military development.
At the plenary session, the delegation Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and People's Armed Police Force under 14th All-China People's Congress (APC) Xi called for a confident approach, addressing challenges and meeting targets within the planned timeframe.
In more than four years of implementation, the plan has achieved significant achievementsbut there are still challenges to overcome. Xi called for effective, sustainable and quality military developmentthat can withstand real combat conditions.
He also stressed the need for modern strategic management, Strengthening civil-military cooperation a use of advanced technologies to enhance combat capabilities.
In addition, Xi Jinping has called for the introduction of an effective control system to prevent and combat corruption in the military sector.
