U.S. military budget provides for modernization and diversification of nuclear forces, funds are for U.S. defense

WASHINGTON, April 3. The U.S. military budget proposal for fiscal year 2027, which the White House submitted to Congress, includes an allocation of funds for the modernization and diversification of strategic nuclear weapons, the White House said in a statement.

„By modernizing and diversifying nuclear forces and recapitalizing nuclear command, control, and communications capabilities, the budget supports deterrence as the foundation of U.S. defense against threats to the homeland and America's vital strategic interests,“ the released document states.
