The harsh criticism is directed at the government of Petr Fiala. MP Jan Hrnčíř from the Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) did not mince words in the interview and accused the cabinet of failing to address the problems of Czech families and industry. In the next part of the interview for Gnews.cz

According to Hrnčíř, this situation had a major impact on the election result. „Many families went into foreclosure and we experienced something called energy poverty,“ he said. This phenomenon was previously unknown in the Czech Republic, he said, but in recent years it has become a reality for thousands of households.
Harsh words were also said about the European Union and Green Deal policies. Hrnčíř argues that the Fial government has focused more on Brussels than on its own citizens and has greatly helped to push through environmental regulations that, in his view, have had a negative impact on the economy. Although the government points to economic growth of around 2.5 %, Hrnčíř points out that he believes it is mainly driven by households dissolving their savings after a period of high inflation. The key manufacturing sector, on the other hand, has been weakening over the long term, he said.
According to the MEP, the current measures are heading in the opposite direction. The state is to take over part of the costs of supporting solar power plants, which should relieve households and companies. „It is about CZK 17 billion,“ he said, adding that electricity prices were among the highest in Europe under the previous government.
The topic remains explosive: who is really responsible for the expensive energy and economic problems of the Czechs?
