Today in central Prague, at the corner of Jindřišská Street and Wenceslas Square, the Police of the Czech Republic blocked off an area where they were checking luggage according to a reported telephone alert before 17:00. A police bomb squad was checking whether the suitcase contained any explosive devices. Tram traffic was also stopped for approximately twenty minutes.
After examining the contents, the bomb squad determined that there was no explosive device in the contents and the police subsequently restored traffic on Jindřiška Street, the tram lines and the surrounding area.
