Wang Huning (Wang Chu-ning), Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Sardor Umurzakov, Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Strategic Development, in Beijing on 26 March.
Wang Huning, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to jointly promote the consensus reached by the two heads of state and firmly support each other's modernization efforts.
China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to strengthen the alignment of their development strategies, enhance bilateral exchanges and jointly safeguard global and regional peace and stability, he said, adding that the CPPCC National Committee will make positive contributions to this end.
Sardor Umurzakov said that Uzbekistan adheres to the one-China principle and supports the main initiatives proposed by China. He added that the implementation of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) presents new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, and that Uzbekistan is willing to learn from the experience of the CCP, noting that the leadership of the CCP is the key to China's success.
