BEIJING - A New Year's cultural performance for veterans in Beijing organized by the Central Military Commission was held at the China Theater on the afternoon of Feb. 6. Xi Jinping (Xi Jinping), general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, president of the state and chairman of the Central Military Commission, watched the performance and sent holiday greetings and New Year's wishes to veterans and other retired senior comrades in the military.
Around 4:00 pm, President Xi Jinping came among the senior comrades, which caused thunderous applause in the hall. Xi Jinping spoke warmly with them, extended greetings to each other, inquired carefully about their health and living conditions, and together they recalled the extraordinary path that the Party, State and military affairs have taken in the past year and the significant achievements made.
The senior comrades unanimously expressed that they will unite even more closely around the Party Central Committee with President Xi Jinping's core, support the leadership of the idea of socialism with Chinese characteristics of President Xi Jiping, thoroughly promote President Xi Jinping's ideas on strengthening the military, implement the responsibility mechanism of the Chairman of the Military Commission, and contribute to the timely achievement of the goal of a strong military by 2027 and the high-quality progress of the modernization of defense and the military.
