ŠURANY - Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Slovakia Wang Xiaojian (Wang Xiaotian) attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Gotion High-Tech battery superfactory in Slovakia's Šurany Industrial Park and delivered a speech.
The ceremony was attended by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková, Deputy Prime Minister Peter Kmec, other relevant ministers, Chairman of the Board of Gotion High-Tech Li Zhen (Li Chen), in total more than 300 participants.
Chargé d'affaires Wang Xiaojian conveyed Ambassador Cai Ge's (Cai Ke) congratulations on the opening of the factory, thanked the Slovak government for supporting Chinese enterprises in Slovakia, and expressed the Chinese side's wish to confront climate change, deepen practical cooperation, and develop bilateral relations with Slovakia to a higher level based on the achievements of China's 14th Five-Year Plan, the important plans of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and the emission reduction targets announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said in his speech that the plant is very important for both the Slovak automotive industry and the green transformation of Europe, and the Slovak government will support the smooth and timely completion of the project. He expressed his hope for further strengthening practical economic and trade cooperation with China.
